to reach top results. Before optimizing a website, a general SEO
services company analyzes the competition of keywords. Only after
analysis it can predict the time. Please note the general time
intervals:
- Local Keyword: If the keyword is local (for example: SEO Services Company in Chandigarh), the competition will be less in lieu of lesser no. of competitors in the market. For local ranking, it takes minimum 6 months to leverage the website to the top rank.
- National Keyword: If the keyword is national (for example: Search Engine Optimization in India), there will be more competition for keywords. As the size of target market increases, so the time taken to optimize the site also increases. For national ranking, it requires 12 months, i.e. one year to get high SERPs for the desired website.
- Global Keyword: If the keyword is global (for example: SEO Services), then the website enters a macro environment that is highly competitive in nature. For such keywords, a website would take nearly 15 months to reach top position.
SEO is an ongoing process; even if you
attain top rank, you cannot stop optimizing it. If you stop,
website’s rank will gradually fall. The above estimations are true
for an ideal website. There are many other parameters that affect the
ranking procedure like:
- Current position of website on search engine
- The age of domain
- Content of website
- Back links to website
- Level of Competition
SEO is never a hit & trial process;
you need to be very patient to get desired ranking for your website.
